    4/5 stars Controlling Assets by Shae Coon is the second interconnected standalone in the Marron House series. This novel follows the very successful Caleb Marron in his fight to take down his enemy, Talia Stone. In this spicy dark romance, Caleb and Talia try to fight their desires until it becomes clear that there’s something between them.  While this genre isn’t one that I typically read (I’m not the biggest fan of dark romance), I absolutely loved Shae’s style of writing.
